I have personally enjoyed the benefits of acupuncture for many years, now I am happy to offer it as a treatment option to my clients.

What is Acupunture?

Acupuncture works by encouraging the body to heal by inserting needles into specific points on the body. Each treatment plan is designed to meet your specific needs. The treatment plan chosen is based on observations during assessment.

The acupuncture I do is to treat soft tissue issues.

The points chosen run along meridians in the body. There are 12 meridians 6 Yin and 6 Yang. The meridians are like rivers that flow through the body. Unlike veins that deliver blood to the tissues the meridians deliver Qi (chi) energy to nourish the tissues, aid blood flow, and deliver electrical impulses from and to the nervous system.

My training was done by the Canadian College of Acupuncture and Therapeutics. Recognized by the World Health Organization.

Acupuncture Questions

Is acupuncture painful?
The needles used are called filiform which means they are solid and are as thin as hair. There can be a brief slight sensation upon insertion. The sensation quickly diminishes.

How many treatments will I need?
As with all massage therapy techniques it may take several treatments to treat chronic or acute conditions.

What is the cost of treatment?
When acupuncture is part of a massage treatment, which lasts for one hour, I charge my regular hourly fee. In one hour you will receive acupuncture and massage. $69.00
